What Does an Accountant Have to Do with a Hairdresser?

Ever been to a hairdresser and felt completely lost the second they ask something like,
“Would you like a half head of balayage with a root melt and a toner refresh?”

Yeah. Same.

My hair is curly, dry, difficult to manage, and recently, the grey strands have started to sneak in (cheers to business ownership, sleepless nights, and real life). I love lighter shades — they suit me best — but apparently that’s a big no-no for my hair type. So after growing it long during pregnancy, I had to do what I really didn’t want to: cut it all off.

I didn’t know what service I needed. I just knew my hair felt tired, and I needed someone to help fix it. Ideally without making me feel like I needed a hairdressing diploma first.

And that’s exactly how many people feel when they come to an accountant.

You’re asked things like:
“Are you VAT registered?”
“Do you need a P11D?”
“Have you filed your confirmation statement?”
“Is this under accruals or capital?”

Most people don’t know. Why should they?

You’re running a business, juggling a thousand things, trying to do your best — and the last thing you need is more jargon or a long, confusing list of services to choose from. Just like in the salon, you don’t want the entire colour chart. You want someone to listen to your problem, figure out what you need, and help you feel better when you walk out.

That’s why I built my services differently. Instead of presenting a technical menu, I’ve grouped my support based on where you are in your business journey:

If you’re an individual who just needs a tax return done clearly and painlessly — I’ve got you.
If you’re a hands-on business owner doing all the things — I’ll step in and take care of the numbers, so you don’t have to.
If you’re growing, with a team, and need a finance partner who’ll think ahead with you — I’m right there beside you.

No jargon. No overwhelm. Just proper support that meets you where you are.

I’ll always explain what’s going on in plain English (with a Polish accent, mind you), and I’ll never expect you to know what to ask for. That’s my job. You tell me what feels messy or stressful, and I’ll figure out how to fix it.

Because whether it’s your hair or your accounts, nobody wants to sit in the chair feeling lost.

So if you’re not sure what service you need, don’t worry — just tell me what’s going on.
We’ll figure it out together.
